To put into understandable terms- it tells the AUTO AC if it's sunny outside so it can make adjustments accordingly. What the AC ECU adjust if the sun is out is another question...

its the small circle sensor on the defog vents for anyone that does not know.

it usually just bumps up the fan speed on a sunny day.

i need to take it out but don't know how. also how do you remove the defrost vents?
