Purchase Dilemna
Okay, so I have wanted a 3000GT for the past 10 years, and I am finally in a position to get one. I have found 2 very nice, well kept, with low mileage, and they are both the same price, but I am torn between the two. I love how the '99 looks, and it is even nicer on the interior and exterior, plus less mileage. The '97 has more miles, is two years older, but has more features on the inside, although not as nice shape. Here are the two cars, feedback would be MUCH appreciated. Thanks!!!!
1999 3000GT base- Dark Green, Tan Leather, excellent shape inside and out 51,000 mi.
1997 3000GT SL - Dark Green, Tan Leather, Chrome Wheels, Sunroof, Power Seats, 63,000 mi, very nice shape inside/out.
The 99 looks alot nicer, in my opinion, both for the year with the bubble headlights, and grilled back opposed to 3000GT logo, and it is absolutely incredible shape.
The 97 looks almost as nice, but I dont like the way it looks outside, and to convert to 99 looks would be another $1700. BUT it also has more HP than the other. Although it has higher mileage, its lower miles-per-year avg., but its also 2 years older.
SO in effect, since I would want to make the 97 look like the 99, spending $1700 more, do you think its worth it to pay $1700 more for a car thats two years older, with 11k more miles, but with 60HP more???? Is the power issue worth it in the long run, or should I just get the 99. HELP!!!!!!! Thanks a million

Depends on what your gonna do with it... Is it gonna be a daily driver? than the power really is second to looks and creature comforts but if you want go fast than the better hp to start (generaly) the better.. Personally i would wait for a vr4.... and save while your waiting

~i had a 3000 SL, that was in mint condition, all i remember was wanting a twin turbo soon after the first tank of gas was gone. do yourself a favor, and find a TT in the same price range, and buy it... unless performance isn't an issue.?![sm=wtf.gif]
