i dont think all vr-4 were manual.
All VR-4's came from the factory with manual transmissions.
WRONG!
91-93 3000GT VR4's had an optional automatic. I know so because my friend had a 1st gen VR4 automatic.

That doesn't mean it came from the factory like that. I have never heard of an auto vr-4 stock,

ALL VR4's sold in America came with a Getrag 5 speed (1st Gen) or Getrag 6 speed (2nd/3rd Gen).

I like the 92 cause it has more power but when driving the 98 is feels just as fast, but then maybe thats just me.
I read that and just had to laugh a bit. Instead, I look at it another way- if the 92VR4 you're consideringis just as SLOW as the 98SL, stay away from it and something is terribly wrong.
