Default rebuilding 3000gt

yeah mine has 166000 on it and its burning oil, and i want turbos and a motor that can handle lots of mods. what would be the best thing to do-put vr4 in it or rebuild my motor and put turbos on it? Also, does anyone know of anyplace close to Fargo, N.D. that would do the work?

Default RE: rebuilding 3000gt

From what I understand the SL DOHC has a higher compression so turbo charging it may be a pain in the A$$. But it might be cheaper than making your 3000gt a VR4.
