Default too much smoke

Slowly getting my future son in law's car up and running. (94 stealth DOHC nonturbo)Had new timing belt, pulleys and waterpump installed. Sorted out stalling problem with rebuilt computer. What a fun way to spend a grand. Picked car up last night and drove home wife followed in my car. Car seemed to run great, started right away, smooth idle great pick up etc. Wife said it would smoke pretty bad when accelerating and using her terms smelled foul. This car had set for over a year. Any ideas. I haven't had time to pull plugs and will do that over weekend. I don't know these cars very well but am very mechanically inclined and just trying to get this thing sorted out for the kid. Mechanic said it did have too much oil in it when I took it in.

Also brake light stays on even if parking brake is down. Brakes are not hanging up so I assume I have a switch problem. Anyone tell where the switch is?
