I just purchased a 93 3000gt base. I noticed under the hood that there's a shoe lace holding something in place.

I don't know if it's holding the lid in place, or if it's holding the cable connector in place.

I would appreciate your thoughts.

its holding the wiring plug in the socket .... or its holding the lid on .... take it off and see if you can slide the plug out of the socket or the lid off

 

what if I take if off and cant get it back together to run lol.

what exactly is that part and what does it do?

both the plug and top. what are they?
