I have a 1993 Diamante that has a #3 & 6 cylinder misfire. I heard that these had ECM problems so I replaced the ECM with a rebuilt. It still has a misfire, so the ECM was not the problem. The tach is not reading and I can pull the coil wires off with it running and no spark. I am not sure where to go from here. I have 2 different power transistors and have tried them both. Is there something else that I am able to check?????

 

Have you checked the coil pack?

 

Checked the coils, swapped them around to be sure, still has problem. Seems to not be getting a signal to fire the coil. STILL NO tach reading on the dash either. Does anyone know about the Power Transistor and how it functions?????

 

i have a 93 diamante i also have no spark to coil3/6 and my tac didnt work so i replaced ignition control moduel and my car ran fine tack started to work but after a while there was no spark on coil 3/6 again so its the moduel but it is expensive its about $333 dollars but i got the moduels from junk yard so brand new will fix your car good luck if you buy it let me know if it helped
