2001 window motor bad
My brother has a 2001 Diamante. Yesterday he went to roll down the back windows to get the dew off in the morning and when he tried to roll them back up, all but the rear drivers side window came up. That one is stuck in the down position. So I went out today to check it out. Tested all the connections to that door. Removed the door panel, Tested for voltage, everything good. When you attempt to roll the window up or down you get a quick click type noise, just once, not constant. So I went to pull the motor out to replace it. Thats where the fun kicked in. remove the four bolts holding the motor to the inside panel and could not get the motor out, or figure out how to remove it. Everything I could find online said to remove the inside panel to remove the motor. This did not look possible as the inside panel appears to be welded to the door itself. Do I have to remove the entire window from the slides inside the door, then remove all the slides and motor as well through the little holes in the inside panel? Advance auto just sells the motor w/o the regulator parts so I was hoping I could just pull the motor out w/o all the other parts. If anyone has done this before any and all info would be greatly appreciated.
