Default Blower fan not blowing

Hi all. I have a 99 diamante LS with the didgital environmental control unit. My blower motor is is not working. the mechenic i took it to said the blower was good because he grounded the relay and the motor spun. I have also replace the ECU with one from Ebay that was a working unit but still no joy. Any ideas as to the problem or ways to test the components involved? I am an electronics tech so I can do what ever electrical testing needs done.

Thanks in advance

Joe

Did you check to see if you have power at the blower motor?

Well try running a jumper wire to ground, maybe its bad since you have power @ the blower motor.

Sounds an awful lot like my friend's problem. Is there any air whatsoever coming out of the side vents? On his car no matter what the setting is on, that's the only place air is coming from and it's very weak.

Turns out, my blower motor was bad. I removed the motor, applied 12 volts to it and it ran intermittently. I connected it to the car harness and turned the switch on but it would only run if I gave it a shove with my hand. Bought a new motor from autozone for 67.00 and now she's blowing like never before .
