Hello, I need some guidance or some divine intervention. I have a 02 Diamante VR-X that is suffering from, it seems the oh so common, transmission problems. I've had a heator core leak a while ago (about 2 years) that I sealed with radiator seal and it still dry to this day. Recently the transmission has be slow to engage from park to drive and reverse. It seem like the the car is over shifting and suffers hard shifts when it does. Some times it goes into neutral and then pack into drive on its own. I'm planning on changing the transmission control relay first and then the transmission controm module if that doesn't work. I found the relay and what I think is the control module. I believe it's the box behind the relay with a plastic cover over it. If that is correct box how do you get to it. Mine is surrounded by a rats nest of stuff, i can barely see it.

 

when is the last time you changed fluid and filter ??? miles on the trans ??? any service work done ???? a little info would go a long way since we can not read your mind
