Hi guys, i own a 1989 Mitsubishi v3000 5 spd ex (mot) police car. I live in new zealand and have been told that the ex police spec cars are fitted with performance chips and suspension mods, does anyone on here know if that's actually true. Also would it be possible to fit the 6g72 30m 3.0 mivec form an 1995 diamante. I was thinking that the power and torque from the mivec v6 in the reasonably light v3000 shell would make for an fun and interesting combination.

Whack a turbo on.

Any conversion is possible with enough time and money. Id be worried about the clutch and box with the newer engine. Evn going turbo you *should* put a heavier pressure plate in.
And at that age "suspension mods" will now be irrelevant. Get new.
Performance chip? Couldnt say. They were quite fast though.
