Default no power steering

Hi , I am new ,to your site, I have a 95 diamante, LSwith DOHC, it has been an excellant car in my opinion, since 2004, I have had the following work done, a new timing chain(belt), water pump, radiator. About a year ago, the car started making a growling noise on acceleration, the mechanic said it is the airconditioning compressor bearings pulley, which would have been easy and cheaper to replace when he did the water pump. he said when it went it wouldn't jurt the car. the new radiator ws installed last monday.. By Wednesday the car started a chirping sound, like +the birds" movie, when we opened the hood, it was coming from the right side of the motor where the pulley and several belts are, My husband put some kind of grease on it, said it was the pulley. Last night, the nois was present, then suddenly stopped. When I started it later, a terrible sound like a bunch of cans hitting together, then I had no power steering.I drove home with no difficulty but the powersteering. still had heat, don't know about air conditioning. the chirping is there again. It is Sunday, have call into mechanic. Any ideas of what is going on , my email is ttalley126@***.net

Either that or your pump went out. Check the reservoir.
