Default Headlights (security lights) won’t stay on when I turn ignition off

We recently purchased a 2024 Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and for some reason the security lights won’t stay on after the ignition is turned off. Does anyone have any ideas on what the problem might be? We’ve already contacted Mitsubishi and they said they would submit a service ticket but it’s been over a week and haven’t heard anything from Mitsubishi.

Have you turned this on? It is adjustable through your audio unit display

Yes. We had everything on however there’s an extra step to activate the security lights. When arriving home and after turning the ignition off all we had to do is pull the high/low beam lever forward. That activates the security lights.

I assume the problem was solved when they did the extra step...pulled the light switch forward to activate the security lights.
