Low side pressure drops to 23 and High side goes to 300! When the compressor shuts off (after 3 minutes) from one of the pressure switches, it does not cycle back on.

The pressures indicate (to me) that I might have and obstruction or malfunction in the expansion valve....but that does not explain why the system does not reset and try again in a few minutes. Do pressure switches fail to reset??

When the system is turned off, high and low side pressures take 1 1/2 hours to equalize.

After an hour or so, the system will run for another 3 minutes. I am wondering if there is an electrical issue....relay?

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
