Thumbs down 2011 Mitsubishi Endeavor - new Driveshaft?

I took my '11 Endeavor for the 60K check and everything was fine....took it to Mitsubishi dealer regarding a chugging issue at 61000 and they found nothing...now at 62500, I've got a god awful screech noise at 35 mph and up and the chugging continues...

I took it to a local mechanic today and he said the center support bearing is causing the screech and the whole drive shaft needs to be replaced ($900.00 with labor) and that he recommends a tranny flush for the chugging..thinks is is the torque converter going into lockup....

I'm at my whits end because I've only had the car for 20,000 miles and it already needs a driveshaft??? Mitsubishi told him that since it was over the 60,000 mile warranty, Mitsubishi won't help with it.

Any ideas????

Get a second opinion, and then a third.

Ask to be shown the issue described.

Most likely too late but... Don't know about a 2011 but our 2004 had a Technical Bulletin on the center bearing, intermittent squeal. We had to find it online, print it out and take it to the dealer as they said no. After that they replaced it, yes the entire drive shaft as it is easier to do.

This was years ago and I THINK somewhere around 60K.
