I have a 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor with just shy of 200,000 miles (mostly highway) It has been a good vehicle - engine runs good, has new timing belt, recently new tires, just replaced both rear wheel hub asemblies. But suddenly this week transmission goes out with $3000. bill. I am struggling with whether to put this kind of $ into a vehicle with this many miles?? Opinions welcomed

This might be late but what about a used transmission? In AZ we have a few after market shops that rebuild and warranty for 3 years.
