Default Weird radio issue

I have an 05 endeavor with the stock radio and 6 cd player. Last night coming home I was listening to cd and everything was fine. My wife got in this morning and said as soon as she turned the car on she could hear my CD, but there was a lot of static with it. By the time she got a block down it was nothing but loud mind splitting static. It is like this on both cd and radio. The thing that is weird about it is the volume doesn't decrease it at all. It is just loud static, even with the volume turned down to 0. All I can think is that a connection is loose but I don' know how it came loose sitting in the driveway and the lack of volume control is hard to figure. Any thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not a professional but I spend alot of time fixing electronics.
Sounds like a problem with circuitry on the Amp built in to the radio. When semiconductors die, it's usually really fast. It might have been condensation that is bridging a connection, or dust.

Thanks for the input. I did that for about 2 days, then went back to normal and hasn't been an issue since. Hopefully it will remain that way! Thanks Again
