Default Winter Traction

Hello,

First of all, I know we bought a 2WD SUV. Since we already have a 4WD vehicle, we thought we'd shoot for a more efficient car.

That being said, has anyone noticed poor traction on snowy/wet roads? I've had front-wheel and 2WD vehicles before that didn't seem to have as much trouble getting around in the winter. I'm thinking that it's the tires. They seem a bit wide for that light of a car. After a month of slipping around in the Minnesota winter, we purchased a set of snow tires that have made all the difference.

winter traction has almost NOTHING to do with the car.

its always the tires. Im amazed people in this day and age dont understand that.
dedicated winter tires are the single best investment you will ever provide yourself.
