If you are on the stock VIII fuel pump then yes the IX pump will help a little. THe VIII pump is known to fail and not flow all that well.

Good luck finding a junkyard with an MR. your best bet is looking on EvoM for someone who has an MR and upgraded to coilovers or something.

as for the exhaust leak. Yea usually they will cause more lag time and they are annoying. That is about it

put the test pipe on and things got better. I was driving home about 20min ago and my car just completely stopped on me. The car was still on but there was a stuttering throttle response. Black smoke started coming out the back and the idle was stuttering shooting out a lot of black smoke. When I pushed the gas it sounded like it wanted to go but it would studder up the RPM's then nearly stall. The boost would also studder. I HOPE THE ENGINE DIDNT BLOW!!!! Someone tell me it was something else....

You need to make what is called a boost leak tester. Seen here: http://www.vfaq.com/mods/ICtester.html

And then to check the condition of the motor you need to do a compression test. Seen here:

http://www.geocities.com/dsmgrrrl/FAQs/compression.htm

intake manifold to intercooler pipe came off, I'm just waiting for my jack so I could lift it and get to work. I hope this is the problem because I was running it hard when I put the straight pipe on just to feel it, that could have done it.

If an IC pipe popped off then I assure you 100% that is the issue. Just pake sure it is super super tight when you put it back on.

Basically you boosted the car hard the pipe was not on tight enough and it blew it off. Happens all the time actually. Trust me you dont have enough mods to really harm the motor unless you overboost or run junk gas. you should be able to run the car hard all the time with not issue other than stupid things like Blown off IC pipes
