Default BOV

Got a question? I’ve always heard that the stock recirculation type BOV found on the 05 Evo 8’s leaks after a while. Now, is that with or without mods?
.....If it does leak without mods then would I be better off replacing it with an aftermarket unit or would I be safe, even with it leaking?

he 03-05 BOV suck. they leak after 17PSI so your car stock runs 20 so it leaks by redline you have 16\17 your car will be a little faster up top with a new BOV. Your fine with the stock one it wont hurt but it does leak if you plan to mod the car than just buy one. Make sure you get one that can be recirculated like normal and you will be fine
