OK sounds good...
I'm gonna talk it over with my dad, maybe even get a new one since it will come with a good warranty, probably an IX not an MR
If I get an 06 you recommend getting a BOV?

This is what I plan on doing: injen intake+IC pipes and the megan exhaust, and maybe an intercooler

No, Emonz meant if the Evo is "pre" 06 then you should get a BOV. The 2006's don't need a BOV!

Ohhh OK sorry I misunderstood

I've informed my friend who works at a used auto dealership--if he comes across any evos with under 10K miles, to let me know. So if he finds one it will probably be a 2005, thus I should get a BOV
Which do you recommend? (Keep in mind I love hearing a loud PSH sound )

i have an 03 EVO. you listened to my videos already the one you said was your favorite was with the HKS SSQ BOV. That is the one id go with but it is expensive compaired to others. You could get the JDM MR DV which is another stock BOV for the EVO and holds about 24PSI and costs around $100. I like the HKS SSQ because it will never leak because of its design supra guys run 40++ PSI through them. The use the boost pressure to close the BOV and VAC to open it, other BOVs use boost pressure and VAC to open it so if the spring isnt tight enough you can run to much boost and the bov will open slighly and leak but the SSQ the more boost pressure the tighter it closes. They cost around $250 sometimes more but I waited and found a deal someone who needed money badly and I paid $100 for it

Keep in mind the video of mine you heard was with the car tuned at 23PSI with an SAFCII and I was not recirculating it like it should be (I tunede my car for it to be vented) so you will want to buy a recirculation kit for the BOV too if you want your car to run normal
