EVO6 engine mod
Please help,
Im looking forward to upgrade my EVO 6 TME's engine since it is still stock and I want a little more HP. Can you suggest anything? Currently my car is around 380-400 BHP, with 1,7 bar pressure, gems ecu, modded air intake, completely replaced ex.system. Running on 100 octane street fuel from OMV (German, or Austrian oil company).
I thought of replacing the rods and the pistons, but I dont really know how to begin.
Please comment.

RE: EVO6 engine mod
did you do all the other mods yourself? if you have no idea on how to begin i would have someone like roadrace do the work for you. rods/pistons is a lot of hard work. are you even in the US?? evo6 i am oh so jealous...

RE: EVO6 engine mod
No, all those mods were carried out by the previous owner of this car. I'm the second owner by the way. Although I know the service which installed the mods I thought it might be a good idea to ask you guys, because I'm pretty sure that there is a lot more experience in this topic oversees. As you see I am from Europe, from a small country right beside Austria which you should know about. Naturaly I asked this service the same question, but since they got used to build rally cars, I cannot take all their advices straight on, simply because I want to use my car on a dayly basis after the engine mod, and I dont want to have the car serviced in every 500 kms like a rally car. So should anyone of you heard about a good engine mod kit or know good brands, or moreover happen to have a modded EVO, please share the knowledge with me.

do some research, i doubt anyone on this forum has ever upgraded pistons on an EVO, the car really doesnt need them until you start making a lot more power than you already are. get cams...

RE: EVO6 engine mod
I want 500 BHP, which is a 100 or a 120 more what I have now. So I guess I need to replace everything inside the engine. Today I found out that Omega pistons are the way to go, but Im still looking for rods, and cams. Also I guess I need the best clutch around, which now I guess is the twin plate HKS clutch. But what I dont know for sure is what do I need to do in order to make the gearbox stronger.
