Default Gas reader on my evo 9

so in every car you have a gas reader. but mine moves down when i go uphill or when i am driving on the highway and then it will finally go back to the right place when i come to level land or i get off the highway but it takes awhile to go back to place. i am just posting to see if anyone else notices it. because it makes me mad and i want to call up the dealer because made it is messed up or something. Thanks.

This isn't really a problem as long as the gas gauge isn't dangling around rapidly. The new gas gauges are controlled by a microprocessor but will still move when going uphill or downhill for a period of time because there is a float in the tank....I would guess around 5 - 10 minutes it what it takes for the gas gauge to move.
