With your goal only being 500 all you need is a FPred, it can make over 500WHP with c16 or 93+meth. The 35r has 600+WHP in it so unless you want to build up the bottom end then you will be limited.

Honestly I had the same goal as you. I went with a 50trim which is not quite big enough to make 500 it maxes at 500 actually. I did cams, headstuds, exedy twin, headgasket, greddy timing belt, fuel ect ect ect. The car made 405WHP on pump gas, and 470 something on pump and meth. It was a blast but the car sounded like complete **** and made the car not so fun to drive. If I were to go back to another Evo I would def go with a FPred next time. it keeps the car alot less attractive to the police (trust me my car was so loud you could here it from atleast a mile and a half away and it sounded bad)

I used to be totally against the RED and GREEN turbos because at least a kit like my 50trim made the motor look like it was modded alot too. After the $$$$ spent to get what I got, I could have saved alot more had I just plunged for a GREEN or RED. On top of that the RED can make alot more power than the 50trim with half the lag too.

Just do alot of research and make sure you know exactly why you want what you want

If you install the turbo yourself the car should still run after. You just need to make sure you DO NOT hit boost if you decide to drive to a tuner. You can trailor it in if you choose to people do that all the time too.

Alright thanks Emonz i will really look into the red and green turbos. So u said with the red and green turbos u can just bolt them straight on to the stock headers and o2 housing? also i found this intercooler on ebay. wat do you think?

spend the extra $$$ and just buy a Buschur core or AMS core. They are alot better than Ebay knock offs on top of it that one isnt even cheap

Look at it this way, you're gonna get what you pay for. If you want to pay less than half the price for that intercooler, then expect to get less than half the quality.

You should not be part shopping on ebay.

RC injectors are fine.

As for the FMIC. you could just get the deluxe or street core. Those are less $$ and still pull great numbers. The issue with ebay cores is they heat soat which is bad for power and your motor

Id go with the 3.5inch core. The FMIC is the one place you really dont want to skimp. Because intake temps make a huge difference in power and safety
