Default HKS SSQ BOV

Hey,
I went to Lancershop.com to look for a bov. I know that I want the HKS SSQ Bov, but there's suggestion to get a recirculating kit, but is it really necessary? Is the bov insert necessary?

If you like your car to run right. then yes. I have the SSQ with recirc. Without it you will stall out sometimes and ride really rough

I just installed mine about two weeks ago and I love it, but i also bought the adaptor and injen filter too, the blow off is really loud...hee hee, but you wont get that high pitched sound because you have to take out the insert in order for you to setup for recirc.

Lancershop has the adaptor which I bought

http://lancershop.com/customer/home.php?cat=2 its at the bottom of the page.

This is the filter I bought, its a 4.5 inch inlet

I am definately happy with the setup, Emonz helped he to get what I needed.

I got a vid a few threads below this one, its not a great ved but you can get an idea of the bov sound, plus the turbo spools really loud too as an added bonus.

you know whats werid though, my buddy thats got the speed3 put a greddy type-s on his car and tried it VTA and he didnt have any problems, but the thing is mine is louder than his and mine is recirc'd, I actually like the way mine sounds though cause I can see the bov getting very annoying after a while if it was VTA because even being recirc'd its very loud. In one of the vids i recorded you can hear a bov as we were racing and i can tell you that was me not him, he was powershifting and when he does that you dont here anything and we were doing at least 115 so its very loud...hee hee

Ya I was VTA for a while and tuned my SAFC for it and it did ok but the BOV got so annoying I finally had to make the recirc fit. It didnt fit my intake since it is custom but I managed finally
