You cant adjust boost pressure with it right?? I should be able to just buy it and put it on without no settings?? And it already set for the boost our cars make?? I think I have seen some where you can change the sound or pressure or something like that, but if thats the case I would have to get a boost gauge to set the thing right?? if not I can do some harm to motor and turbo right??? a BOV will not change PSI of the turbo per say. It will keep it from losing PSI on higher RPMs. you stock BOV will hold 17 so your car runs 20.5 but at redline your at or around 17. The HKS SSQ wont leak so you will have 20.5 till redline. no settings needed no harm is done by this. you can add washers inside a BOV to tighten up the spring and that will change the sound slightly but it isny much really and you wont need that with the SSQ because it is designed so when your at full boost the pressure closes the BOV other BOVs the pressure is used to open it and that is why some leak and need the washers to tighten up on the spring so it rquires a harder push to open the bov enough to leak. Does that make sense??!!??[&:] oh and no for a BOV mos no guage is needed

 

Cool, Im gonna look into getting that one maybe when I get paid next week, Does that one come with everthing I'll need to put it on or will I have to buy anything else? unfortunatly, the Magnusson-Moss act almost always loses in court. In fact, Ive never personally see it win, although Im sure it has.
And the only people that generally use it are the ones that have knowingly altered thier cars so much from stock that they dont deserve a warranty.
Imagine this, too.. even if you do try and fight something major (like you toss a rod), it will be caught up in the courts for EVER. at great expense to you. You may win, but if it takes a year and costs 1500 bucks, what did you gain?
its very simple, really. you are buying a product. you alter it, it is no longer the product you bought, so the manufacturer shouldnt have to deal with it. alterations to the driveline that increase HP and alter emissions WILL strip the powertrain coverage, 100 percent garanteed (unless you find some really moronic dealership.. if so, more power too you).
the warranty is quite simple in the owners manual.
im not saying you'll lose your warranty if you change your muffler.. but I am saying that if you really wanna keep it without any hassles, dont modify the car until its out of warranty. and do your maintenence.

 

you can use it as it is but I would buy a recirculation kit to go with it other wise your car will run a little rough

Well, I've seen many court cases where they did win.....I guess both goes.

 

its just a matter of common sense. Dont mess with too much unless you know you have the ability to pay for it, 'cause although you may NOT have to, you very well might.

 

I would ask the dealer where the work on your Evo will be done at; this will ensure your warranty isn't voided.
