what is the p300 code? Rear o2 or somthing lol cause that one is common yes.

Yes it is common, it is a random misfire, and there is a reflash available at the dealer (assuming you don't actually have a misfire). Note- if your car is flashed (Dynoflash/Vishnu/Works etc) the reflash from the dealer may return it to stock.

hmm I have never had a random mis on my Evo and I just flashed it for the first tim last june after 2 years of bolt ons. Does that apply to only certain year Evos?

All obd II cars the dtc numbers are all the same p0300 random mis, then p0301, p0302... ect for cyl misfire.

I beleive it was more of a problem on the earlier VIII's, 03-04 if I recall correctly. It is a ghost code anyway, no actual problem for the recall except the light being on. I would however reccomend talking ot a good reputable dealer about it and getting the flash done if it applies, that way wou know if the code comes up that you actually have a problem and not just ignore the code assuming it is BS.

Odd yea I have an 03. I never had that pop up once. my car was bone stock when I bought it. but I guess it doesnt rule out the 1st owner may have had it flashed by mitsu. I bought it with only 12k on it though
