Passing inspection??
Iam new with these cars and iam about to buy a MR and my question is when i start doing mods to this car, how do i keep it passing inspections?? If iam correct, for example buying a downpipe and they say off road only, wouldnt that throw the check engine light.. Please help me out with this, how is everyone getting there car inspected with mods on them. Thanks for your help.

If you dont have a CAT you will trigger the CEL. I ave a full turbo back exhaust with no CAT. the CEL came on and I did the $5 Autozone special o2 fix so now the o2 is not triggered and it thinks there is a CAT.

now as long as you have no CEL on then your half way there. In Ma you cant have a CEL on and they put the sniffer on the exhaust to make sure it is clean. They will plug into your cars OBDII port to check for CEL codes so make sure it is clear it should be as long as the light hasnt been on for like 100 miles. You have to make sure you go to someone who will "HOOK YOU UP" cause the sniffer WILL still not pass even if the CEL is off. Basically you have the guy put a different car on the sniffer. So everything in there computer is passing the sniffer thinks it is on your cars exhaust.
