RE: rpm jump
I wouldnt laugh at anyone that takes that kind of attitude.
If the revs have ever gone above 2k with your foot anywhere near the clutch (apart from all the way in) then thats something you shouldnt be doing.
Unless the clutch is all the way down, the revs should notever go above 2k (sorry if this seems stupid to you)
When shifting gears the clutch should be all the way down... and should be all the way up before adding any signifficant throttle.
When pulling away from a stand still, the revs should never leave 1.5ish with your foot still on the clutch. As soon as you are moving your foot should be off the clutch.
Do you know what your doing wrong now?

RE: rpm jump
yup i tend to add gas before fully releasing the clutch on all my gears. and i tend to let the clutch go between 2g or higher. but thanx i guess im gonna practice with this clutch before i put in a new one and for 1185 i might as well spend 500 more and get the exedy. or should i buy the act.

RE: rpm jump
Exedy actually makes the stock clutches. So thats not a performance upgrade. But it should do just fine.
Adding a little gas before fully releasing the clutch is ok. But giving it a lot of throttle before releasing the clutch is not.
Starting off from a stop with the revs above 2k will surely burn the clutch.
So you have 7k on this car?

RE: rpm jump
Remember, when your foot is partially on the clutch.. its more than likely slipping.. and the more gas you give it.. the more its going to burn.. and the longer you leave it in that position... the more its going to burn again.
