Hi,
Im new here, and some people told me come here to know more about the evo. Im thinking of getting one soon and my friends tell me that isnt not work buying it b/c evo's have some problem that could occur in a year or 2. Like brakes, clutch, tyres, and etc. Is this true?

It really all depends on the driver, and what year evo it is. Because if it was driven hard then yes the clutch may need to be replaced right away. The stock brake pads are fine except they get brake dust really bad.

if you buy a new EVO IX, take care of it by maintaing it regularly, not doing 7k launches at every stop light, break in the motor correctly and don't abuse the hell out of it than it willl be just fine for years and years. Emonz is our EVO wizard here and his stock clutch lasted like 22k miles i thinnk. Brake pads and tires are just normal wear and tear but if you abuse/drive the car hard it obviously wears them down quicker.

Factory Tires last 20K on average, I got 21k on mine. factory clutch last 25k on average. I got 41k on my clutch still so drive nice and it will last. The brake pads will last about 35k I got 39k on mine. on top of that every 10-15k you need\ should do your tranny fluids and diffs
Dont listen to your friends they obviously dont know anything. If you Test drive an Evo you will buy it. it is a crazy expirience and the feel of of the cars handling and power such you in. It is the best car I have ever owned and yes it is reliable they just require you to do maintenace often that is all. if you dont have the money to drop on tires and bake pads ect then dont buy the Evo youll ruin it
