Question 18inch Konig Rims/drifting issues

Hey everyone,

I recently brought 18inch Konig rims, here are the dimensions -
Konig - 18X7.5 5-100/114.45O Gunmetal Grey, with Nexen tires with one of these two dimension 225/45-18 or 235/45-18. I have a Mitsubishi Galant 04. My original stock rims were 16inches. It seems that when I am driving now the car tends to drift to either the right or the left. When I break the same thing happens. I feel the wheel turn and I have to push it back and center it. I went and got my wheel alignment done and they said it should be fine but the problems still continues. I was told that the rims may be too wide for the car and that could be the reason why this is happening. Then again I was told by a mechanic that cars with wide rims drive like this normally. Can someone give me some kind of feedback PLEASE...... I really like the rims and tires but I feel that I should not be drifting from left to right as I am now.

Thanks
Kenny-
