Default 2001 Galant Rear Power Window Problem

Hi,
My 2001 Galant rear windows are not working, so I got new window regulators. I plugged those in to test and the regulator moved up when the switch was engaged, but it won't go down (lower the window). This is true for both of the rear regulators I got. Is there something I'm missing that makes the window go down as well as up? Bad switch working only one direction? But the switch is new too. So....

Thanks!

There could be an obstruction tripping out the overload. Have you tried lubricating the tracks?

Default Okay, thanks

No, I haven't. I will do so and try again. Just to clarify my own words, I tried this with the window regulators not installed, just plugged into the cable. So there is no window attached and the regulator is not yet installed in the door.

Thanks for the suggestion!
