My mom broke the top of her transponder key. I ordered a new casing and put the guts in it. The issue is apparently the chip is in that part and the only way to get the car started is to hold both of those pieces together (the new casing with guts and the old empty key). She is older and I’d like to simplify that, but am not sure how. I read that Mitsubishi would have the key code to cut a new key. Is that true? If I could just get a new key I can put the guts in it and go back to one simple key. I hope this makes sense 😂 please help?
