New member here - have a problem with my 90 Galant that I sure would like to be able to fix without buying a new trans.

Maybe I should be posting this in the Tech section, but thought I'd try here, hoping that someone else with a Galant has had this problem.

Gearshift just won't go over to the right anymore to shift into Rev or 5th.

Looking under the hood, I believe that the short rod coming vertically out of the trans should be popping up when the shifter is pushed over to the right, but it's not.

So, seems like something is stuck or jammed. Sure would appreciate any help with this. Car still runs great.
