96 Galant Idle Issues - Low Cost Fix
Erratic idle, high then low. 30ish ohms on A-B. Infinite on C-D.
Yeah, I know. IAC Motor. Got it.
Only, I'm not paying $350 for a new one, and all of the ones at the local pull-a-part are gone.
So, I went "Old School" on it. I put tape over the air passage inlets and adjusted the idle to 750 RPM in drive. Yep, it's high in neutral and the gas mileage will likely suffer.
But my daughter has a drivable car until we can afford a better one or one of us wins the lottery.
