I own a 99 Galant. Just recently my oil light has been coming on after I've been driving for awhile but only when I apply my brakes. I've had my oil changed a week ago and they did try a different weight of oil to see if that would help. They checked over most things and I've been told they do not see anything major going on.

I just do not want to be out and have my car break down on me.

I had this a few months ago on my 01 galant. It was the oil pressure switch.
symptoms. Light would come on when braking but would go away when accelerating?
