is it possible to change my galant to a 5 speed

Yes it is possiable if you can find the parts off of a 3G Eclipse (2000-2005). I know of only two Galants who have done this conversion.

 

is the conversion alot to do?

Hey just wanted to say i have a 2002 ES galant and im thinking of switching mine over to manual , my friends are pretty good at their work and said that they could manage the whole swap for 500-1000 if i help do the wrenching, if i dont trade it on the 3000gt ive been checkin out then ill take pics when ever i get the swap done, some before and after you know? good luck with yours buddy.

 

I want to do this as well, like prophet said, the hardest part is just getting the parts alone. once you have accumulated all of the parts, it shouldnt be a hard task.

 

yeah i dont think it should be to hard either but hopefully we will both get it done, i heard you pull it has a few cars that would possibly have the parts now i just have to find the time to go strip everything out, is there anyone who could give me a detailed list of what i would need just so i can double check?

 

after searching on net and asking from people, finally, i decided to swap my glant too. I am getting 2002 eclipse manual parts for my 99 galant. I have talked to few mechanics and finally got someone who can do really cheap comparing to others. it will cost me around 1200 for everything. I hope it works. then after that I will try puting turbo in. I might be done uin couple weeks. good luck all ppl who are doing swap out there. PEACE :-)
