My 1999 Galant 2.0 lt autosdigital time clock has decided to become intermitent. Any ideas how to remove it from middile of dash with out damaging dash?

hi i got a tough wallpaper scraper and lifted the back of the clock so both the clips released. it will move a few millometers before it releases then in between the dash and the clock fascia put the scraper as far as u can down the gap,and lever the clock up. i would put something between the scraper and the dash so u dont damage it. with a bit of cringing and some ***** it should pop out.
