Default Flooding on driver door of 2003 Mitsubishi Galant ES

Hello,
So I've noticed for quite some time that the carpet on the driver's side was having wet spots particularly when it rained. I thought that maybe it could be a a leak somewhere underneath the car that the water was somehow getting in through some crack in the bottom. I felt around and discovered nothing, a few damp spots here and there but it had been raining so that made sense. Ive searched the forums for possibilities. I've found people having similar problem to mine but no straight answer yet. From what I've read it could be a leak in the window seals, leak in the side view mirror seal, leak in the firewall, clogged AC evaporator drain, leak in the windshield seal, or the heater core.
I need help on figuring out what the most likely cause is so I can possibly do this myself because I've read that this problem is fairly pricey to get fixed.
Thank you!

take it to a glass shop and get them to diagnos where the leak is. then decide if you have the money to fix. water leaks can be VERY tricky to diagnos. let the pros do it.
