Default Intake Installation

Does anyone have any tips or such for installing a CAI on a galant. My friend is going to help me put it in, because he has done it before. I just wanted to know if there is anything i should know about the 2003 galant, that would help in my installation. Thanks.

The Galant is pretty straight forward. Take the oem off and put the new one on.

Yea the install is pretty easy, I have pics of mine if you want to see, mine is an Injen intake. Real easy install if you know the basics. Just make sure you know what to do with the battery. My friend forgot to put the car into the accessory setting before starting it and the engine stalled.

You have to detach the negative side of the battery by unscrewing the clamp. Do that before you even start the install. Then after you have the intake in, reconnect the negative side of the battery. Put the car into the accessories slot, the one right before you can start the car, for a few minutes (you'll hear the car make noises). Then after that start the car and let it idle for awhile. Then rev it to make sure everything is all good and your set to take her out.
