Default K&N Filters?

Anyone out there using a drop in K&N Filter? I was using another brand of re-usable filter on my old car, but I have never used one of their drop ins. Has anyone seen any type of fuel economy/performance increase with these?

Thanks

I'm getting a k&n soon too. The panel filter seems the way to go. I've had many on many cars in the passed, they tend to live up to the demand when it comes to induction noise, but depends on the car.

Good thing is they are reasonably priced, only thing cheaper is the ebay unknown generic brands but who knows how they perform at filtering.

Dont be tempted byt the expensive ones seen on jap turbo tuned cars, by HKS etc. They perform really bad at filtering crap out of the air

I just got one in my 01 galant. It was a complete waste of 50 dollars. I get the same gas mileage as before 25.3 m/g. DONT BUY IT.

What kind of mileage do you get?

Ive never noticed too much of a difference in my HP or my MPG with these filters... but I notice the difference in not having to replace the ****ty paper filters every x amount of miles.

I think that a expensive filter is all that is for so you don't have to replace it. Even with my teg and my galant i don't notice that big of a difference.
