Honestly getting any header including the RIPP header you will not be seeing huge gains unless you have done some serious mods and even then it is minimal. We dynoed a RIPP at only 3hp gain to the wheel. Kamakazi's I have heard no problems with on a Galant.

IMO if your only wanting to get a header for show purposes then purchase one and powder coat it.

Depending on the state you live in your probably not going to pass smog. Expecially in Cali where I am from. Not sure where you live or how hard your smog laws are. Non of the headers are smog legal.

thanks for your help. i ordered the kamikaze and taking to to my local custom exhaust shop. they have a way to make this all legal. they will install the header, a hi flow cat that acts like two cats and relocate my 2nd O2 sensor with a bung after this new cat. all this plus the proper piping i need. thanks for your tips it helped alot.

thanks, Jason (et2sub)

i know were talkin bout kamikaze and ripp headers...but i have a quick question about obx headers.. whether or not there is any modification involved for a 2002galant es.. it seems like the piping at the bottom is short? anyone knows if the 2piece obx headers are bolt on or need some modification? thanx.
