Default manipulate output reading of AirFlowSensor

has somebody tried to manipulate output reading of karman-vortex airflow sensor of galant V6 without using AFC(ie, APEXi)?
will it be as easy as manipulate MAP sensor with adding potentiometer at the output pin of the sensor?

thanks a lot for the share

Dont people on Ebay do this same thing by selling resistors in little plastic cases, and calling them "chips"?

i know putting resistor on MAP sensor has proven OK. I don't think it will be that easy for MAF (karman vortex type), since the output is not voltage but frequency.
