Unhappy My First car Need Wiring help !

alright so i was hooking up a new car radio to my car and stuff but then i noticed that i wasnt getting power in the constant wire. so i ended up hooking up the constant wire(RED/ BLACK) and the ignition wire to 1 (BLUE) wire that gave power. but now every time i turn off my car my radio's memory clears up. how can i fix my constant wire so it can receive power?? (

im seventeen and this my first car soo idk what to do

Just hook the memory wire ( sounds like the blue wire is for the channel memory on your radio) to a full-time 12v and the main to a switched 12v (12v present only when key is in the ON position).

It seems you have your mem wire hooked to a swotched (controlled by the key) wire.

Youtube probably has vids of this stuff.

I was recalling that blue might be for a motorized antenna and yellow for channel memory. It has been quite a few years since I put a deck in but I kid of remeber never connecting blue because I never had a power antenna.
