If any one can help it would be great.

Recap: Yesterday I noticed something hanging from underneath my car. It was a pan like object. Later in the day a co-worker was able to quicklywiggle it off with ease. My car is driving as normal no problems. I was able to take a picture of the part. I just want an idea of what it is so I am not duked when I go to the repair shop. They try to take advantage of women to often. Also if you can identify the part is this an expensive job?
