Unhappy Pls. help...I almost died!

I got 1995 galant w/150k miles on it.
When I started engine it seems very normal, no check engine or battery light on, rpm stable at 11...
then I hit the road, everythings seems Ok(just for a while)...
BUT, soon when I stopped at the intersection, rpm goes down and down then engine dying...(now I have to move quickly....)
restart engine, then go, meet another intersection, stop again...
When i stopping from high speed, engine dying almost everytimes....from low speed, engine is almost dying...
I can't even completely speed down when I need to make right turn...because I have to keep my speed for preventing rpm drop.
Anyhow, I changed all spark plugs few days ago....
It doen't help at all...
I don't know what do I have to start looking...Also, I'm very scared to drive this car now...
Please help me...

your IAC motor has gone bad. this is a common problem for that body style of galant.94-98. the part is expensive around 350.00. use dealer parts only. autozone , nappa, ect...will give you crap for a few less dollars, and you will have this keep happening over and over. they will give you a new one, but wont pay for labor to remove old one and install new one. get one from the dealer and only have to do the repair one time.
