Unhappy Side rear view issueee

So pulling out of my back yard tonight, this tree came out of noo whereee... and popped my right side rear view mirror off. Now it is dangling by the cord and i have no clue how to get it back on. Is there some way i can pop it back on, or take off the mount and do something with it? or is there no way and i should take it in... (I have a 2009 Mitsubishi Galant)
Thankyouuu

Default replace side mirror mount bracket

My mirror was bumped and the mount plate is broken. I believe it was designed to fail. It is an easy part to replace. I'm not sure how much it is though. It's probably stupidly priced however it's got to be much cheaper than replacing the side mirror and housing. If you open the door with the mirror you will see a rubber access panel. Pry off the rubber access panel. The plate that holds the mirror in place is attached with three bolts remove the three bolts on the inside of the door and two phillips head screws on the outside of the mirror. There is one more phillips screw that attaches the plate to the mirror. Remove that and reassemble with the replacement mounting plate that you ordered from the parts department.

Good Luck.
