Default Trunk wont stay open

My wife has a 99 galant that her ex messed up the trunk with his speakers and for some reason her trunk hasnt been able to stay open without us using a pipe to prop it up. Im thinking of tricking this car out but first I need to fix the minor things. I've been looking online and I see that the torque rod springs are out of place but I still cant figure out how they are supposed to go. It looks like an easy fix but I need a picture of how they look when they are operating correctly to know how to do it. Can someone help me out on this?

No pic, but they kind of suck to get back into place correctly.

The previous guy probably put in speakers that would not fit with the suspension system. You will probably first have to put the correct size speakers in before you can get the suspension system in correctly.
