Wierd speaker problem
I only have the front drivers side speaker not working. I tested with an ohm meter the resistance on the speaker and it was about 4 ohms so the speaker is fine. I then tested the voltage coming from the head unit and it was at 86 mV and not moving. So I check the other front speaker and I had about 86 mV but fluctuating up and down as the music was going. I then checked the output at the back of the head unit and it was 86 mV and not moving. My question is: is it possible for only one output to go bad? The previous owner had some messed up wiring in there (he tapped off the main lines twice and just the left the bare wires there. So maybe that shorted out the output after awhile. This only happened like 3 months ago and I just got around to messing with it. Thanks for any help.
