I have a 2003 Lancer ES, lately I have been experiencing at random, the engine looses all power, either fuel or spark above the 1/2 throttle point, if I ease off, it picks right back up, push it a lil again and it looses again, I can do this over and over.

I never know when its going to happen, it just starts randomly and stops randomly.

Anyone have an idea where to start trouble shooting this??

Fuel delivery problem. Rent a fuel pressure test kit from Autozone, and make sure the fuel pressure raises correctly through the RPMs. Your pump may be failing, or the filter may be gunked up.

 

But its not a constant problem, its random, never when I start it up if it will have the problem or be fine.
